800 SUPPORTERS ATTEND FIRST FAITH IN OUR future EVENT

“I can’t believe how many people were here!”

This comment was made by one of the politicians who attended our first town hall event on Monday.

800 teachers, parents and students packed the hall of Groves Christian College in Brisbane in an overwhelming show of support for the future of faith in our schools.

In a demonstration of unity and commitment, 35 schools from Queensland were represented, with buses bringing supporters from as far as Chinchilla (a 7 hour return journey!).

The highlight of the event was the sharing of personal stories about the life-changing impact of the faith of teachers and staff on the lives of students and their families. We are so thankful to the 10 people who shared so powerfully with us.

Political representatives from all parties were invited and four Liberal MPs and Senators attended, with Senator Henderson (Shadow Minister for Education, below) and Senator Paul Scarr addressing the crowd. No Government MPs or Senators were able to attend.

“By your overwhelming presence here tonight, you are sending a clear message to our political representatives that we are opposed to any changes to the law that restrict our ability to continue operating as genuine communities of faith.”

Your presence is powerful
