Pray for the future

Is there a prayer group connected to your Christian school? Perhaps you like to pray for your school over dinner with your family or during staff devotions at school?

If you are, can we plainly say thank you! We’d like to share why that’s so important – and good things to pray for each month. Subscribe to receive these in your inbox each month.

Through prayer, God keeps growing our schools

When you look at the 300 or so schools we represent, all of them have origin stories that involve prayer. A handful of parents who started praying for funds, for land, for approvals, for buildings, for teachers and for students.

Those prayers have been mightily answered. There are now more than 150,000 students in Christian schools across our Associations. Praise God!

It’s time to pray for the future

Most families who have joined our schools are attracted by our values, if not the Gospel of Jesus itself.

While we thank God for providing in the past, we’re seeing storm clouds on the horizon, and that needs to take us back to prayer, to depend on God, and ask him to direct those in authority — for the benefit of our children and their children.

Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation. — Joel 1:3

Let’s pray

Each month we want to equip you to pray for what we face. We will send you a one-page Prayer Briefing with prompts to help you pray for the future. We’ll also keep you updated on how the Lord is answering our prayers.

  • First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. –  1 Timothy 2:1
  • Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation. – Joel 1:3
  • The LORD said to Moses, “Tell Aaron and his sons, ‘This is how you are to bless the Israelites. Say to them: “ ‘ “The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’” – Numbers 6:22-27
  • Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Hebrews 4:16
