GOOD NEWS: the faith of our teachers is inspiring our kids for lives of service.
Under pressure for their beliefs, it’s time we spoke up for them.
The facts are in. The living faith of teachers and staff leads Aussie kids to serve in communities, families and industries. But some want to diminish that faith, forcing teachers to say their beliefs are not “the truth.”
After hearing the truth of God’s love at school from our teachers, most of our students go on to volunteer in the community.
Yet education experts are telling the government:
- Christian teachers at Christian schools should not be able to teach “the truth” of the Christian faith.
- Christian schools shouldn’t be able to hire teachers for the quality of their Christian faith.
Why would we let ‘experts’ stop the good our teachers do?

"Schooling is not just about academic education. Children can't compartmentalise themselves, just focusing on academic skills from 9-3 each day. We all have emotional, social and spiritual needs that can't be 'turned off' during the school day. Christian schooling allows children to be their true selves, with the freedom to develop all areas of their life within a safe and supportive environment."
Anthea, a Christian teacher in Western Australia
"Christian teachers have a personal relationship with someone who is in the business of restoration, forgiveness, grace, miracles and second chances. Christian teachers are the link between young people feeling overwhelmed, apathetical, depressed, stressed, anxious and lacking purpose and young people living a life with meaning and purpose."
Dave, a Christian teacher in New South Wales
"I have seen children move from fear, helplessness and not having purpose to being excited and fully engaged in life. This has happened when I have been able to develop a relationship with students, get to know them and speak God's heart so they have courage to both see themselves and the world differently and make a change."
Tim, a Christian teacher in Queensland
"Being a Christian teacher makes you think about "What would Jesus do?" The ultimate teacher, with his humility and servant heart. People followed him because he took the time to listen to others and show an interest in people, and through him people wanted to know about God. This is the power of a Christian teacher."
Desiree, a Christian teacher from Queensland
